Game 23 Takeaways | Utah Jazz at Charlotte Hornets

December 2, 2018 by Kelby Jones Leave a Comment

Game 23 Takeaways - Utah Jazz at Charlotte Hornets

Game 23 Takeaways

Utah Jazz at Charlotte Hornets

Utah Jazz keep it rolling on the road as Korver joins the team.

The Utah Jazz continued their most recent east coast road trip by playing the Hornets in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Charlotte has been led by Kemba Walker as of late, who is having a career season for the Hornets, leading the team to a decent record in the east.

Utah was coming off the first game of the road trip, a good win over the Nets in Brooklyn. CLICK HERE to read more about that game.

Joining the Utah Jazz for the first time (the second time around…) was Kyle Korver, who was traded to Utah from the Cleveland Cavaliers for Alec Burks and two future second round picks. CLICK HERE to read more about that trade and listen to Episode 09 of The Jazz Fan Show podcast to get more of our takes.

Watch the full game highlights below:

Quick Takeaways

Kyle Freaking Korver

I don’t want to spend too much time talking about this, because, well… EVERYONE (including us…) has had something to say about the fact that he’s back on our team.

Let me just say that I was sad to see Alec Burks go, but I think the Jazz made the right move.

Good to have you back, buddy.

Jae Freaking Crowder

Jae Crowder has been struggling as of late, there’s no denying that.

However, against the Charlotte Hornets, the dude straight up went off.

You know, it’s funny how obvious it is when Jae Crowder is feeling it. The guy lights up the stat sheet! Let’s just hope he can keep it going as we move into the gauntlet that is the next month of the season.

Donovan Freaking Mitchell

The guy had a great game at Brooklyn, but part of me wondered if it was just because most of the stadium was apparently filled up by a Mitchell Family and Friends reunion…?

Anyways, I was wrong. Although…

Does Michael Jordan attend every game that Charlotte plays? And how likely is it that his being in attendance is the reason our guys seem to play so well in Charlotte.

Heck, let’s take it one step further. Is Michael Jordan hurting his own teams ability to win because other teams always bring everything they have to impress the GOAT?
